FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why should I opt for a valet or detail over a quick and cheap wash and go?

Quick car washes tend to focus on churning out as many cars as possible to try and make a profit. Great, if you’re on a really tight budget but not so great if you want to preserve the value of your vehicle! Quick drive-thru washes tend to use harsh chemicals, dirty cloths and equipment which scrapes and scratches your vehicle. We at Mint Detailing have an in-depth knowledge of chemicals, a keen eye for detail and a genuine care for your vehicle. We guarantee a meticulous and conscientious approach to all work carried out because ensuring YOU are happy is No.1 on our agenda. Whilst a drive thru car wash can sometimes be quick and convenient, the majority of the time you end up sitting in a long queue with no hope of getting away and you’re left to think about how you should have just driven home and booked Mint Detailing to take care of your vehicle!

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my appointment?

Valeting and Detailing services are weather dependent. Bad weather reduces the effect of our chemicals, can cause damage to interior electricals and impacts our quality of work. We will always contact our customers the day before their appointment to rearrange if the weather forecast is looking bad.

Yes, but it may take several hours! Pet hair, especially from certain breeds will virtually weave itself into the carpet fibres meaning standard vacuuming alone won't budge it. We instead rely on specialised equipment and a lot of elbow grease to pull it out thread by thread which can be time consuming. We would be happy to take a quick look at your carpets and give you an accurate estimate of time and cost.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer discounts through our maintenance packages. Get in touch for more information.

Can you get dog hairs and sand out of the carpets?

What is a ceramic coating and do I really need it?

So, whilst not a necessity, you should get a ceramic coating if you want long-term protection instead of waxing every few months or if you love a clean car and want to maximise the resale value of a new or freshly polished vehicle.
